Seven Network, Foxtel and Telstra announced $5b nine year deal from season 2023 until 2031. Under the AFL’s broadcast deal, coverage is split between pay TV and free-to-air. AFL season 2024

The new season will start on 7 March, with opening game between Sydney Swans and Melbourne Demons.

Most successful teams in AFL

Essendon Bombers and Carlton Blues are most successful teams in AFL with 16 titles each. Essendon won titles between 1897 and 2000. The club has had periods of sustained success, including the famous "Baby Bombers" era in the 1980s.
