Australia take on Egypt in the Round of 32 at the FIFA World Cup 2026™ on Saturday, 4 July at 4:00am AEST at Dallas Stadium.
Australia and Egypt will meet for the third time and it will be the first encounter since a November 2010 friendly when the Aussies lost 3-0 in Cairo. The Round of 32 clash against Egypt, will be be broadcast LIVE and FREE on SBS and streamed via SBS On Demand with coverage beginning from 3:00am AEST.

The FIFA 2026 World Cup has reached a defining stage as the tournament enters its third week.
Currently sitting second in Group D Australia plays its final match of the group stage in Santa Clara against Paraguay who, like the Socceroos, defeated Turkiye but lost to co-hosts the USA. This match will be broadcast free-to-air on SBS with streaming options available on its dedicated platforms.

The Socceroos return to action in November with two exciting international friendlies against top South American opponents as part of their 2026 FIFA World Cup preparations.
The Socceroos kick off their US tour with a tough test against Venezuela on Saturday — a fast, technical side known for their attacking flair. It’s a key opportunity for Australia to sharpen their form and test new combinations ahead of next year’s qualifiers. Five days later in New York Australia will face Colombia in their second friendly of the tour. Expect a high-intensity clash, with both nations fielding strong squads and looking to build momentum toward the World Cup.
Both matches will be broadcast live on Network 10 and streamed via 10 Play for Australian audiences.

Australia and New Zealand have already qualified for the 2026 World Cup will play international friendly on Friday at the GIO Stadium in Bruce. Australia have won five and drawn three of their eight last matches, with the team finishing second behind Japan in Group C to ensure that they will be present at the 2026 World Cup. The Socceroos comfortably lead the overall head-to-head record against New Zealand, winning 41 times and suffering only 13 defeats, and they have not been beaten by All Whites since July 2002. It will be the final game for the Australian national team in 2024, with four crucial qualifiers remaining in Group C in our AFC Asian Qualifiers.
